This action is in Indivisible Berkeley and the Ella Baker Center for Human Rights – Even if you aren’t a resident of the City of Berkeley, your body in support of this action will be help, will make an impression on Council members:
The Berkeley City Council will be voting Tuesday May 16 at their 7pm meeting about ending their relationship with Urban Shield – the training arm of Homeland Security that militarizes police departments. This, of course, targets communities of color most especially. Ella Baker Center for Human Rights is one of several groups taking the lead on this issue. - This event will welcome and prepare prospective and new members of Indivisible EB to participate in anti-Trump actions in whatever capacity they can.
- Attendees will learn:
- Whe core tenets of the Indivisible Guide and how we implement them at IEB
- The basic structure of the organization and its mission, values and code of conduct
- Where and how they can be most effective on the team(s) that most interest them.
- Attendees will also actively resist at the meeting by performing a typical Action that IEB performs: writing a message to their MoC that IEB will deliver for them. This will be a sample of possible actions they can do as they become more involved in IEB, and begin their new work of actively opposing the Trump Administration.

- Two of our members were interviewed live on KTVU!! Behind the news desk and everything!
