California is opening up, and Indivisible East Bay is ramping up for a busy summer. We’ve got a packed agenda of events for you this month, focused on three action areas.
First, we’re supporting Janani Ramachandran’s campaign for CA State Assembly District 18 in the June 29th Special Election – check out our newsletter article. We’re also continuing with Indivisible National’s issue-focused working groups, with a new event format: every Tuesday at 6:00PM, we’ll gather for Action Tuesdays to do actions related to Indivisible’s five national issue working groups, which focus on Climate, Immigration, Healthcare, Economic Justice, and Democracy Reform! This is a great event to join if you’ve only got an hour per week and want to GET THINGS DONE!

And as you’re likely aware, we can’t get any of our top priorities done without Democracy Reform! This fight took on new urgency last Thursday, when Senator Schumer announced he would bring the For the People Act to the Senate floor at the end of June. We’re asking everyone we know to call their Senators and ask them to DO WHATEVER IT TAKES TO PASS THE FOR THE PEOPLE ACT – including abolishing or deeply reforming the filibuster!
