We hope you had an excellent Labor Day! We’re excited about the possibility of PRO Act language in the reconciliation bill, and hope you were able to get some rest, do some organizing (check out this training tonight), or both!
We’re in our final push to stop the Newsom Recall– the election is in just 5 days! Check out opportunities here, including phone banking, canvassing, text banking, and more. And don’t forget to return your ballot by Tuesday, September 14th!
And of course, we haven’t forgotten about Democracy Reform. Join us Friday, September 10th, from 4:30 to 5:30 PM, for a Fight Back Friday rally outside Senator Feinstein’s office at One Post Street in San Francisco. We’ll ask the Senate and President Biden to use the power we gave them to pass S.1, the For the People Act, and H.R. 4, the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act. We’ll be back every Friday until the bills pass- sign up in advance here for Sept.17. The Senate comes back into session this Monday, September 13th, and gerrymandering is already under way: now is the time to act!
