Art Build for NO KINGS Oakland

Come process all those big feelings with a No Kings art build for the upcoming Oakland March. Project includes paper crafts, lots of cutting, taping, painting and more. Drop-in event, no need to stay the entire time.

We will be making 1000+ small layered No Kings protest signs to hand out at the march. The design of this sign is an ode to scrapbook craft using metallic contact paper, cardstock, masking tape and paint pens. Signs will be mounted on recycled knitting needles to remind us that history repeats itself.

Work is mostly sitting, bring your favorite paper scissors, you will be using them a lot. Tasks are repetitive and we will be using an assembly line approach.
