Become a Know-Your-Rights Ambassador for Immigrant Rights
January 12, 2025 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm PST
In order to best support the immigrant community in our cities and counties in the coming year, Friends of La Peña’s Immigration Rights Committee has invited East Bay Sanctuary to co-host a Know Your Rights Train-the-Trainer event on January 12, 2024, 11 am – 1 pm.
The workshop will be focused on how ICE operates and collects information, as well as provide Know Your Rights information for potential encounters with ICE. The training is informed by the work of the Immigrant Defense Project, Surveillance Resistance Lab, Make the Road New York, and East Bay Sanctuary Covenant and it aims to prepare advocates, organizers, and allies to give Know Your Rights information to clients and community members.
