Community briefing on Alameda Health System staffing

January 28 @ 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm PST

On January 6, Alameda Health System (AHS), our public healthcare system that serves low-income residents, laid off more than 250 healthcare workers and has put in jeopardy patient care for the most vulnerable. AHS leadership has pointed to HR 1 as the main reason for these reductions in services, but the reality is that they are not necessary as federal healthcare cuts are not yet implemented. These cuts are dangerous for patients and healthcare workers. We are reaching out to invite you to our community briefing to understand the immediate impacts to patient care. You will hear from workers, patients, and other advocates about the need to stop the cuts and restore services now. Workers and patients know that these cuts won’t heal.Join us on Zoom for a briefing and take action to protect access to healthcare in Alameda County.
