It was followed by an extensive Q&A where Leah offered her take on a variety of issues of concern to our members — from if and how Harris might separate herself from Biden’s policies — to whether RFK Jr. might affect the outcome of the election — to what are the most important actions we can take as residents of the Bay Area — and much more.

We also heard from Tonya Love, a candidate for an at-large seat on the Oakland City Council. She explained what she will do to improve the lives of Oakland residents, if elected — focusing especially on increasing affordable housing and preventing big corporations from having an undue influence on Oakland politics.
